→ Q. When was the school established?
A. The school started functioning on 25th April 1979.
→ Q. In what way is LFS, kurseong different from other schools?
A. At LFS, students are taught to take up challenges and be self-reliant and confident. The students get exposure at such level that widens their vision and prepares them to take on the world. We follow the Learn-by-doing method of education which encourages the children to ask, discover, experiment and even make mistakes and learn from them.
→ Q. Are parents allowed to take a tour of the school? What are the timings?
A. LFS Kurseong welcomes all parents to take a tour of the school with prior appointment.
→ Q. Which Board does the school follow?
A. The school is affiliated to the CISCE, New Delhi board.
→ Q. Which are the Classes for which admission can be sought?
A. Admission can be sought for Nursery to Class XI.
→ Q. What is the admission procedure?
A. Age group from (6+) years in STD. I onwards to VIII, parents desiring admission for their child are required to complete the application for registration fee which is not refundable nor constitute any assurance. Entrance tests are held in October proceeding entry, parents will be sent information for test to be taken by their children. Places, subject to availability will be offered on the basis of the written test and interviews at the exclusive discretion of the school. The process of applying The application for The Little Flower must be received by the school authority within 30th of June each year for new session. After receiving the application the admission office will arrange interview timetable and interviews be conducted in September (though some may be later).
After the interview The Principal will make the decision and the candidates will be informed through postal mail or by e mail. The Principal may at any time and without assigning reasons, ask a parent to withdraw his/her child if he/she feels that such a course is in the best interest of the school. A parent visiting to withdraw his child must give at least three months in writing posted by recorded delivery. Such notice would be formally acknowledged, and if so is not promptly received the notice should be sent again. If short notice is given security deposit will be forfeited. All communication with the school, except regarding bills, travel arrangement and new admission should in the first instance, be addressed to The DIRECTOR. Bills and travel arrangement to be corresponded to the Bursar. Telephoning during the term time is strictly prohibited and asked to avoid telephoning the school as far as possible. Before a new student arrive at the school the following certificates are required: A) A doctor's certificate stating the child is fit for school life in Kurseong. B) A complete health information certificate on a form supplied by the school. C) A transfer certificate from their previous school.
→ Q. What are the documents required during registration?

2. Transfer certificate from Previous School(If applicable)
3. Character Certificate (Class Vth onwards)
4. Medical Fitness Certificate including Blood Group
5. Two Copies of Color Photograph
6. Mark Sheet & Academy Transcript from the school last attended.
→ Q. What is the teacher-student ratio for each class?
A. The teacher-student ratio of each class is 1:20 . A low student-teacher ratio in each class ensures that every child gets individual attention.
→ Q. Is there too much pressure of homework?
No, we don't believe in burdening a child with loads of homework but encourage them to finish lessons in the class itself. However, some amount of homework is given which the child will be able to attempt on their own.
→ Q. Does the school have any boarding/ hostel facility?
A. The school does not provide boarding/ hostel facility right now but plans are underway to provide the same shortly.
